Samoëns is a charming listed village at 1142 m with a rich medieval heritage, sitting just south of the better-known Grand Massif resorts. It is the only village in the Grand Massif to be officially recognised as one of the 'Plus Beaux Villages' — a heritage designation that protects the historic centre of allotments, churches and old chalets. The Grand Massif Express gondola whisks skiers up from the village to the slopes of Flaine and the wider Grand Massif in under 10 minutes. Off the slopes Samoëns has a genuine alpine village feel with cafés, restaurants and weekly markets, plus an outstanding botanical alpine garden. It is the rare Grand Massif base that suits skiers, walkers and families with non-skiers alike.

Samoëns' direct access to the Grand Massif is provided by the Grand Massif Express gondola, reaching the slopes above the village in a few minutes. From the top you connect straight into Flaine, Morillon, Sixt and Les Carroz — the full Grand Massif of 265 km of pistes and 70 lifts. The local Samoëns 1600 sector has its own blue and red runs, served by the Télécabine de Vercland, and the famous long Cascades piste runs from Flaine all the way back down to the Samoëns gondola base.

Your driver will meet you at Geneva Airport's Arrivals Hall, in front of the Brezelkonig Café (after exiting baggage reclaim, turn left and walk 30m staying INSIDE the arrivals hall), holding a name board showing your party name.
